5th Graders Become Pickleball Pros
Forest Elementary School fifth graders participated in a USA Pickleball clinic in partnership with Transworld Business Advisors last week.
The fifth graders had a blast as representatives from USA Pickleball were on site to teach pickleball fundamentals and play pickleball games.
Transworld Business Advisors, along with USA Pickleball, donated the necessary equipment to Forest to make the sport accessible to all of the students there.
The goal of the clinic was to support programs that positively impact students' lives.
“We’re thrilled to host this Pickleball clinic,” said Principal Amber Soike. “Pickleball is a wonderful way to get active, have fun, and practice good sportsmanship."
Soike said their hope was that the event not only introduced pickleball to the fifth graders, but also helped promote a healthy lifestyle for the students and families Forest.
After the students had a go at the game, the adults also showed off their pickleball skills and learned a few things also!
