Forest
The Forest Creative Writing Club, led by Library Media Specialist Ms. Joanne Zienty, meets every Wednesday after school to work on their writing skills and understanding themselves better as writers.
When the students gathered together following winter break, Ms. Zienty asked the students to complete a set of questions that focused on getting to know themselves as a writer.
Students were asked about their favorite books and authors, their favorite songs and singers, their favorite movies and TV shows and favorite video games.
The students found a comfortable space in the library media center and worked on writing and answering the questions.
When they were finished, the students sat in a circle and Ms. Zienty shared her answer to the first question.
Each student had a chance to share their answers and they started to find that they had very similar interests.
The writing club is a wonderful way to get students excited about writing, while practicing their creativity and making friends along the way.
