Forest
On February 15, Forest Elementary School's 3rd grade students shared their musical performance of Verna Aardema's book Bringing the Rain to Kapiti Plain.
This story is based on an African folktale in which a drought has plagued the beautiful Kapiti Plain.
The children, under the direction of Ms. Diana Jacquez, shared the story through reading of the text, interspersed with songs and movement.
The students used props inspired by the story's illustrations by Beatriz Vidal.
The performance also included a variety of classroom instruments.
Bravo to these third grade students for a very well done performance!
