Forest Elementary School fourth graders in Mr. Matt Peebles class have come a long way in their writing skills over this past school year.

Mr. Peebles had the class spend some time comparing and reflecting on their current writing skills compared with their writing at the beginning of the school year.

He gave them a writing reflection sheet and then passed out a creative writing assignment they had worked on during the first week of school.

The students were asked to give themselves a grade of A, B, C or D on their old assignment and then write three things that they did well and three things that they could improve on.

After reviewing their past assignment, Mr. Peebles had the students reflect on their most recent writing assignment.

The students also were asked to answer questions such as how they grew as a writer this year, writing goals they have for fifth grade and something that they were proud about their writing skills this year.

The class were excited to see firsthand how much their writing skills have improved since the start of the school year!
