Forest
The book fair at Forest Elementary School has been a student favorite for decades and happens twice a year.
This year the school tried something new by using a company called Literati.
The students were excited for a bigger variety of books and the always popular pens, pencils and erasers.
Something special that is happening this year is that the student council is partnering with the Forest PTC and will be volunteering at their events.
Some of the older members of the student council came in to help some of the younger students shop and pick out books at the book fair.
Money raised from the book fair goes towards purchasing books for teachers' classrooms, the school's birthday book cart (students get to pick a free book on their birthday!) and to ensure each student goes home with a book.
Any additional money raised goes towards supporting fun community building events and activities for the Forest school community.
