Music, Crafting and Conversation in the Taylor Swift Club
All Forest Elementary students have the opportunity to be a part of the Taylor Swift Club, a safe and fun place to talk and solve conflicts, listen to music and enjoy each other's company.
Special Education Teacher Brianna Gutzeit started the club in 2023 to help 4th and 5th grade girls with friendship problems during recess.
The club became even more special when they started making friendship bracelets while listening to Taylor Swift’s music throughout the Eras.
Gutzeit said the combination of music, crafting and meaningful conversations create a unique space for students to bond.
This year, the club has grown even more and is now open to all grades and students, making it a welcoming space for everyone in the school.
On this particular day, Forest second graders were creating colorful and unique bracelets and enjoying their time together.
The students love coming to the club and Gutzeit said next year they will need to add even more meeting dates to accommodate all the students wanting to join after seeing the fun!
