Partnering up in PE
Forest Elementary Second Graders in Mr. Sloma's PE class had fun pairing up with others, running and playing catch this week.
When the class first started, the students were asked to pair up with their running partner and line up against the mats on either side of the gym.
The first task had one of the partners running three laps around the gym.
When they were done, they had to tag their partner and the partner had to run three laps around the gym.
The students then partnered up again and had to walk three laps.
The students then practiced playing catch.
Students lined up in multiple rows and the first person in the row was asked to walk mid-way down the gym and wait for the second person in the line to throw the ball to them.
Once it was caught, that student then walked the ball back to the line and the second student walked to the middle of the gym to catch the ball.
They repeated this exercise multiple times to practice their throwing and catching techniques.
