Walking and Rolling to School
On Wednesday, October 9, Forest Elementary School students and their families participated in their annual walk/bike/roll to school day.
Students joined children and adults around the world as they celebrated the benefits of walking, bicycling and rolling!
The students were welcomed to school that morning by local police, crossing guards, staff and student patrols.
Students and families that participated had the opportunity to take group pictures upon arriving at school.
Those who walked and rolled to school that morning received a special certificate for their participation!
Walk and Roll to School Day began in 1997 as a one-day event.
Now, thousands of schools across the country participate every October.
More than 3,700 schools were signed up to participate this year!
